Newton’s 2016-2017 Winter Parking Information

From the City of Newton website:

As of now and thru April 15th, drivers are not allowed to park on any City of Newton street for longer than one hour between the hours of 2 am-6am. If a “snow emergency” is declared, parking is not allowed on any City street and vehicle owners may be ticketed or their cars towed.

Please visit the Newton Police Department at 25 Chestnut Street, Monday through Friday from 10am-5pm, if you wish to apply for a free municipal parking lot permit. These permits may be used by Newton residents for overnight parking until April 15 and they are available on a first-come first-serve basis. Please bring with you a valid driver’s license and the vehicle registration for the vehicle which will be parked.

There is a $25 fine for winter parking ban violations. For more information, click here to go to the City of Newton website.
